Want to just get out and meet some boaters? Want to get back in a boat before Training Camp? Want to just grab a beer with boater friends after a play session? Lots of boaters and many of our members meet on Thursdays at some Front Range Whitewater Parks.
There is no sign-up required as it is not an official club event, just a place to join other people after work. Most people aim to arrive at 5:30pm and meet people before hopping in their boats. If you're a beginner, let people know. If you're not a beginner, please reach out to new people and invite them to join you! The expectation is to make a safe environment for everyone to play and practice, and maybe make a new friend to go boating with again. If you just want to play on your own play wave by yourself, this probably isn't the group to join.
All types of boat are welcome: kayaks, SUPs, packrafts, small rafts, etc.
Meet at the Broken Tee Golf Course Parking lot close to the pavilion. Extremely beginner friendly at most water levels. Good for first timers. 1st and 3rd Thursdays of the month.
Meet at the Lions Park parking lot in Golden. Not first timer friendly but beginner friendly below 150cfs. Above 300cfs (yellow flag) this is a solid intermediate run and kayakers should have a roll. 2nd and 4th Thursdays of the month.
Disclaimer: These are not official club sanctioned events. They just are place and time to meet other boaters in the area. Colorado Whitewater and any members or volunteers are not responsible for you or your safety. Boat at your own risk.

Cruise with Colorado Whitewater (CW)
This year we are using registration pages as a way to show interest in a cruise. The cruise leader needs to confirm skill level is appropriate before confirming your participation in the cruise. Knowing who is interested will help volunteers know how many leaders and sweeps would make the event fun for all involved. Please register for the cruise if you would like to attend. For all cruises, please have some experience running the class of whitewater that is listed with each cruise. If you have any questions about the skill level required for the cruise you wish to attend, please contact the cruise leader for that cruise, or send an email to cruises@coloradowhitewater.org.
See full list of cruises and wavier information here.
Cruise leaders are not yet known. As events get closer and volunteers step up, they will reach out to those who have shown interest and confirm details of the activity.
